Overview

Yokohama Triennale 2008

A new exhibition hall at Shinko Pier was established while the historically scenic spot of Sankeien Garden was also designated as one of the venues in an attempt to present another side of the port city. Centering on the concept of “time” and different ways to approach it, the event consisted of a diverse range of performance programs and performance-based works. Live events were held throughout the triennale, and street corners served as a stage for artists’ performances, in addition to the exhibition venues, transcending mere objects or installations in an exhibition space.
