Yokohama Triennale Special Programs

On the second floor, we host artist gallery exhibitions in the free area. On the paid observation floor, we present the ‘Media Art Gallery, ’ where digital art merges with Yokohama’s night view. It’s a program where you can enjoy both the city of Yokohama and art simultaneously.

In this exhibition, I hope to focus on the world as I see it through the internet and its chaos, in response to the theme of “Wild Grass,” as well as on my own body, place, and where reality lies.

Yokohama Night View × Sound/Video Installation “Shuttle”

A sound/video installation that combines fluctuating sounds and visuals with the body lifted 94 meters above the ground, transporting to a distant place. The irregularly changing rhythm of the music and the unfolding visuals stretch and contract the viewer’s bodily sensation, fictionally intersecting around the landscape.
