【Yokohama Triennale 2011 has closed 】

We have closed Yokohama Triennale 2011 as of Sunday, November 6. Under the theme of “OUR MAGIC HOUR How Much of the World Can We Know?”, the exhibition ran for approximately three months at Yokohama Museum of Art and NYK Waterfront Warehouse and the surrounding areas.

Since opening on August 6 in midst of the summer, we received over 300,000 visitors during the 83 days, and many of them also participated in the series of events that we held in conjunction with the exhibition.

MIKI Akiko, our artistic director, states. ”By learning to accept enigmas and contradictions, and changing one’s perspective, the world may suddenly be revealed.” We hope that our visitors’ experiences have been rich and eye-opening, and will stay with them for a long time.

Yokohama Triennale 2011 closes after marking its tenth year since its inauguration. We will start for the next one to open in three years. We surely hope to see you again in 2014!
