At BankART Studio NYK, a former warehouse of the shipping company Nippon Yusen Kaisha, BankART1929 will showcase its collections and archives to trace its history of activities. It will also organize "Landmark Project V," which is a series of projects that open up historical buildings to the public with art.
There will also be a sequel to the "Contemporary Sequel for the Josen-Korean Diplomatic Expeditions," a cultural exchange project that BankART1929 started in 2010. This time, it will expand its coverage from Korea-Japan to China and other countries in the East Asian region, and will culminate in a comprehensive program consisting of a tour, residency program, and an exhibition.
