	作者略歴 Brief record	現在ポーラ美術振興財団の海外研修でロサンジェルスに滞在中。 対話をしながら浮かび上がってきたアーティスト自身のイメージを、対話相手の友人に描かせた水彩画を冒頭に配したインスタレーションを、このトリエンナーレに出品する。その水彩に続く壁面には、彼の住む土地の歴史や伝説を近所の人々にインタビューに基づいて描いた絵画のシリーズが並べられている。他者へのインタビューという作業が、自ずとインタビュアーの内面の世界を形象化してしまうという、どこか不穏な感覚を宿した作品である。 Born in Japan in 1971. Lives in Los Angeles as a participant in the training program of the Pola Art Foundation. Tomita will exhibit an installation at the YOKOHAMA 2001. At the entrance of the installation, he will put up a watercolor painting by his friend. The friend will paint his impression given during a dialogue with him. Next to this painting will be a series of paintings that represent the history and legends of the place where he lives. He will paint them based on interviews with his neighbors. The installation will create a sense of disquiet, revealing the inner world of the interviewers through interviews with others.
