	作者略歴 Brief record	ネズミ捕りなどの実際に使われてきた罠を陳列したり、ありふれた台所用のタオルをきちんと畳んで台座の上に積み上げたり、あるいはホームレスの日用品すべてを入れた袋を満載したような子供用自転車を置いたりといった、どこか謎かけ（罠）のようなウィットに富んだインスタレーションを制作している。日常のマイナーな事物を、異なる文脈のなかで見せることによって、観る側の視点をずらし、マイナーだと思いこんでいる事物に潜む重要な問題を認識させる作家である。 国際展：97年ヴェニス・ビエンナーレ、ミュンスター彫刻プロジェクト、98年マニフェスタ2、第1回ベルリン・ビエンナーレに参加。 Born in Germany 1959. Lives and works in Germany. Slominski is known for enigmatic, witty installations made with commonplace objects, for example, mouse traps that have actually been used, ordinary kitchen towels stacked neatly on a display stand, and a child's bicycle loaded down with shopping bags packed with the personal belongings of a tramp. By presenting ordinary everyday objects out of their usual context, he disorients viewers and makes them aware of important implications of things that are considered trivial.
