	作者略歴 Brief record	滝や川、太陽などの自然の光景や動物などのイラスト的なイメージを、刺繍の方法によってコラージュ風に画面に散在させたキャンバスを制作している、ユニークなアーティスト。しかしいわゆる技術的な完成度が求められる刺繍のジャンルとは無縁の作品であって、むしろ糸を針で縫うという自由に線を走らせることができない制約を逆に利用して、ドゥローイングともペインティングとも異なった独特のユーモラスな感覚の世界が生み出されているといえよう。 このトリエンナーレでは刺繍作品以外に、青木涼子との共作によるアニメーション作品も出品される。 2000年「Twilight Sleep」展（ローマ日本文化会館）、2001年VOCA展出品。 Born in Japan in 1971. Lives and works in Japan. Ito embroiders illustration-like images of natural scenery, such as waterfalls, rivers and the sun, and animals on canvas in the collage style. He uses embroidery but the works do not fall under the genre of embroidery, which pursues great skill and high quality of embroidery. He chooses embroidery because of its restrictions.　You can't draw a line with a needle and thread as smoothly or freely as you do with a pen or brush. This restriction gives a humorous touch to his works, different from drawings or paintings. Ito will make an animation work in collaboration with Aoki Ryoko for the YOKOHAMA 2001," and will also display his embroidery works. International exhibitions: "Twilight Sleep" organized by the Japan Cultural Institute in Rome in 2000, "The Vision of Contemporary Art" (VOCA) at the Ueno Royal Museum in 2001.
