	作者略歴 Brief record	作曲家。50年代半ばに渡米、ジョン・ケージに師事。ケージをはじめ、ラ・モンテ・ヤング、デイヴィッド・チュードアなど、当時、最も実験的な作曲家とともに活動。61年に帰国後、ケージを日本に初めて紹介、自らも偶然性、図形楽譜といった要素を用い前衛的な作曲活動、演奏活動を行う。美術の領域にも大きな影響を与え続けており、94年に各国を巡回した「戦後日本の前衛美術」にも取り上げられている。 Born in Japan in 1933. Lives and works in Japan. Ichiyanagi is a Japanese composer. He moved to the United States in the mid '50s and studied under John Cage. Ichiyanagi worked with the most experimental composers of the times; John Cage, LaMonte Young and David Tudor. He came back to Japan in 1961 and introduced John Cage's music to Japan. Ichiyanagi composes and plays avant-garde music incorporating chance music and graphic scores. He has also been influencing the world of art. He was included in the "Japanese Art after 1945: Scream against the Sky" exhibition which several round countries in 1994.
