	作者略歴 Brief record	カール・ドゥネアは、もともとストックホルムの国立オペラ劇場の舞台監督であった。その経験を生かして、数年前から、白い箱の中に石膏像がおかれている舞台のミニアチュールの様な作品を発表し始めた。その彫刻は、人が気づかないほどゆっくりと移動し、仮想舞台の上で俳優の役を演じることになる。その動きは、きわめて精巧に仕掛けられており、同じ動きを繰り返すことは5年間はないという。さらに一日に数回、その彫刻はベケットの戯曲を語り出す。一見単純な白い箱の中に、見えないテクノロジーが凝縮され、なおかつ哲学的な主題を演じるところに、独自の世界を開示している。 Karl Duner: Born in Sweden in 1963. Peder Freiij: Born in Sweden in 1954. Both live and work in Sweden. Duner used to work as a director at the Royal Swedish Theatre. Inspired by this experience, he began producing works like a miniature of a scene on stage several years ago. He places plaster figures in a white box. These figures move very slowly, so slowly that people won't notice they are moving. The figures are performing their parts on the virtual stage. The movements are controlled by an elaborate mechanism. They will not repeat the same move for five years. The figures also tell a drama by Beckett several times a day. The world he creates is unique in that a lot of invisible technologies are packed in a box and that in the box a philosophical theme is performed.
