Privacy Policy

1. Principles

The Organizing Committee for Yokohama Triennale (the “Committee”) collects information from users of this web site (the “User” of this “Site”) to the extent deemed necessary for efficient operation (such as providing information through our Site and/or receiving User responses), with the acknowledgement that this information should be handled with care. The Committee shall use the information limited to the purposes for which its collection is intended, with strict control over how it is collected, stored and used, in compliance with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information” and other related laws and ordinances,

2. Personal Information

“Personal information” (the “Information”) to which this privacy policy refers is information voluntarily submitted by Users that is personally identifiable, such as names, telephone numbers, addresses, e-mail addresses, ages, and others.

3. Collecting and Using Information

This Site collects Information through reasonable and legitimate means for objective that are specific and explicitly stated to the User. Unless otherwise stated, the Information is used to solely fulfill that specific objective.

4. Protecting Information

The Committee shall maintain the collected Information in its accurate and up to date form. It shall also take security measures to prevent leakage, loss, destruction or falsification of the Information. The Information shall be promptly deleted and disposed once the objective for its use has been achieved. In case the Committee delegates some transactions to third party contractors, a contract regarding appropriate handling of Information between the Committee and third party contractors, and the Committee will supervise the process in order to ensure that appropriate measures are taken.

5. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Party

All Information received from Users of this Site will not be disclosed or provided to third parties, except under the following circumstances:
・The User had given consent to the Committee to disclose the Information to third parties when submitting the Information.
・Disclosure of Information is requested in compliance with an Act, law or ordinance.
・Disclosure of Information to third-party contractors (as described in no.4) is necessary and appropriate to fulfill specific task.

6. Request to Disclose, Amend, and Suspend Information

The Committee will accept requests to disclose, amend or suspend use of Information after verifying that the Information in question is the one submitted by the person making the request.
